Today is my final teaching day. I had been feeling nervous until the class was over. I had prepared the class for a whole week. I confirmed what I was going to teach the students at the beginning of the week. And I thought about how to teach and prepared the games to teach the words and sentence patterns. The eight new phrases are go to the park, go home, surf the Internet, do a puzzle, see a movie, play outside, take a nap and take a walk. I just taught students the words directly, this is a mistake. I should ask the students something like “What do you want to do at the weekends?” It is better to teach the students through talking something to make them feel interested. After I taught them the words, I taught them the sentence patterns like “I want to ____.”, “Do you want to ____ ?” and “What do you want to do?” in a successive order --- from easy to difficult. I think I do a pretty good job for arranging the procedures of the class. The interaction of the class is pretty good. The students enjoyed the games and learned knowledge from the games. After the class, my mentor Miss Lee talked about the strengths and weaknesses of my class with me. I benefited a lot from the conversation. I didn’t say goodbye to the kids. I was afraid of crying in front of the kids, I will miss them. Through a whole semester’s practicum, I learned a lot of things form my mentor --- Miss Lee. I realized that the knowledge I learned from listening and teaching a class is more than I learned from learning in classroom. I like my students. I hope I can get another chance to meet them again. They are so adorable. The teenagers are hard to control, but I get along with them. Through the practicum, I witnessed there were still many weaknesses of Chinese education, I need to enhance my quality to get higher education, and then I can get a job in a school, and even work in XXX. There is not anyone would care about what a college student’s opinion is. Thank you , Dave and TAs, for arranging a meaningful practicum. Thanks, Miss Lee and the teachers of Gongbei Primary School, for teaching me a lot of teaching skills and giving chances to us to teach. Thanks, my adorable students, for paying attention to my class and being respective to me. The practicum means a lot to me.

In this week practicum, I listened to one lesson of my mentor --- Miss Lee. She gave a class to Grade 4 students. The lesson is about Unit 9. It is a revision. I list the strength and weakness which is following:
Strengths:
1. As an experienced teacher, Miss Lee showed the control of the class.
2. She used picture- cue to elicit the word from students’ mind.
(For example, she showed a picture which is drawn a towel, she asked what it is. And ask what color it is. The second question is extended question.)
3. She repeated the write pronunciation to remind the students.
4. She also changed/added/deleted some characters of the words and helped students to remember that word, too.
(For example, “money” to “monkey”)
5. She emphasized the plural nouns, too. (For example, “key” to “keys”)
6. She changed/added/deleted some words of the sentences to test students remembered the sentence form or not.
7. She emphasized some noun like pajamas, slippers which are usually used in pairs/plural.
8. Motivate students to learn/speak out, PK, competition, game.
9. Spell some words in a wrong way and ask students to correct them.
Weaknesses:
1. There is just two mistakes Miss Lee made, one is when she explained how to play the game, she did not explain clear. (It wasted of a lot of time.)
2. The other is that there are four groups in the class and she just called group 1 or group 3, the other two groups felt unfair and started yelling, that made the lesson all mess up.
Finally, the next week is the final teaching week; I am going to teach at that time. I already learned a lot from my mentor and my classmates; I am ready to give a good lecture. I am going to prepare now.

This week, I did not teach the class, on the contrary, I listened a lot.
Because this week is such like a Judgment day, Alma, Viki, Gary and Dave came to the school for evaluating some of us.
I also make the feedback to two of my classmates.
I don't mention their name here, just call them Ms. A and Ms. B
Ms.A taught Grade Six. In my opinion, she made worse than I thought.
I thought she would do a very good job. I thought the preparation is very important.
She went to the classroom 2 or 3 minutes earlier to do prepare her PPT and some materials.
The time is not enough for her to prepare all the stuff, she need to arrive at the classroom earlier.
Cause the crash preparation, the PPT, audio are not set up and the poor preparation made her nervous.
These are the weaknesses of Ms. A:
1. Did not explain the game clearly; the poor introduction led the students answer in wrong way.
She can not elicit the right answer from the students.
2. There are many words can be fixed in the part "Fill the appropriate word in the blanket."
That is no good to force all students to think the word which is the vocabulary of this lesson.
As a teacher, you should elicit more and more appropriate answer from the students
Learning language is not just focus on one single grammar point or one vocabulary
These are the strengths of Ms. A:
1. Use picture – cue to elicit the vocabulary.
2. Use cloze to elicit vocabulary and sentence form.
3. Change the word in a sentence form to another word to practice the students’ ability to the sentence form.
Ms. B taught Grade one. In my opinion, she controlled the class really good.
Here are the weaknesses of Ms. B:
1. Did not use the broad skill.
2. Did not tell the rule clear before the game.
3. Did not correct the wrong pronunciation of some students.
Here are the strengths of Ms. B
1. Motivate the students to learn for getting chances to be young pioneer
2. Ask student to show in the front of the class, enhance their confidence and all the class are exciting of the activity.
I think both of them did a good job. Even there are some mistakes they made during the class, I do like their teaching. I learned from both the weaknesses and strengthen of them. I am sure it helps me a lot when I teach three weeks later.

I just corrected the tests and homework this week.
Even that is boring, I still learned something from the correction.
Grade four students are beginner of learning English.
They will make many mistakes.
Besides the third person mistakes when they used verb, there are many other mistakes would be made when they used verb.
For example, they also make mistakes when they used “- ing”.
Here are examples which the students in Grade four made,
I can thinking.
I am shout now.
It is obviously that the students do not have an idea when to use “- ing” form.
As a teacher, you should teach the students that they are totally two different types of the “can” and “be” sentence form.
Although “can” and “be” both act as predicate, the tense of the words behind the predicate is different.
In the “can” sentence, we use the verb prototype: “can + do” to express that to be able to do something or to know how to do something.
For example,
1. You can swim, can’t you?
2. I’m afraid Mr. Zhang can not see you now, he is busy.
In the “be” sentence, it is more flexible, we can put the adjective, noun and verb. ”be + doing” express that someone or something is involving the action now.
For example,
1. I’m thinking.
2. He is sweeping the floor.
One express the ability and the other one emphasize the process of the action.
If teacher give a presentation of this difference and teach them more about the tense of the words, students will distinguish the two types of sentence.

This week, I taught successively to two different classes. I prepared the class in the last whole week. The class is about the time and some active verb in our daily life. Before the lesson, I thought many actions to show the words and prepare some properties. In my plan, I would help them review how to ask what time it is and what the time it is first, and then I would teach them the new vocabulary by acting the action. Before the end of the class, I will make sentence by using the new vocabulary.
Everything in the first class went through well, the primary school students learned very quickly by acting to learn. The vocabulary are get up, go to bed, brush my teeth and etc. They were all happy to learn. I think the reason why they were happy is that they like to “act” the verb. I also asked some of them to go to the front of the class to act and ask the other students to guess the words. The best way to learn is to make the students be interested in the lesson. Interests make learners to learn in volunteer. At the second class, the class also went though well although there are some naughty boys bother me while I was giving the lecture. I asked them to read the words and an article for preventing them from too excited and clam them down. I met some impediments in the second class, but I am glad I overcame them.
The classes in row are difficult, but as an instructor, I can improve my teaching immediately. It is the good thing of having two classes in row.

This week, I didn't go to the Gongbei Primary School.
There are some things emergency happen to my family.
I need to come back to deal with it.
Although I did not go to school to teach.
I prepared the lesson in the last whole week.
I was supposed to teach a revision of Unit 5 to the class.
So I summarize the key points of the unit.
First, they must grasp all the vocabulary of the place, like beach, movie theatre, bank, restaurant, etc……
I will test them this part by doing dictation.
After that, they need to review the sentence type like "Where are you going? " "Are you going to XXX""Yes, I am./ No, I am not."
In this part, I will use some exercises of the textbook or the exercise book.
After they finish the exercises, I will ask some of them to tell the rest of class their answers.
I will correct them if they do wrong.
At last, I will check the oral English of the class. I will ask some studnets to read the passage to check the pronounciation of them. Moreover, the role play is an important part of practicing the students' oral English. They can get exercised and interests in doing role play.
I am still not getting the order of what I need to do next week from my mentor, but I will do some prepare before going to the school.

Beacuse 3.8 women's day is just on Sunday, there is just half of day need to have class.
There is no difference of last week's class and this week's.
There are still 3 classes successively.
In this week, the students obviously became more obedient than last week.
The rule of the class is good.
The students are all eager and intelligent.
They came out many meaningful questions and the questions help the progress of their learning.
Because there is just half of day in this friday.
I do not really get some experience or valuable things this week.
In the next week, I need to teach the first formal class in my teaching career.
I need to prepare it.
I become a liitle nervous.

Last week, I went to the Gongbei Promary School as a teacherthe first time.
Because it is the first week, the head master just arrange us to separate with two or three people a group. Each group gets its mentor.
The mentor who is in charge of my group is a young lady named Niko Li.
We call her Niko or Miss Li.
She is very kind and humorous.
We went to attend her class.
Maybe because there are three strangers sitting in the back of the classroom.
The students are too excited to control.
The way they read lesson does surprise .
They read the conversation in the lesson, and they even 'pronounced' the onomatopoeia.
Like "thump,thump,thump", they do not really pronounce, they make the onomatopoeia.
They flap the table to make the "thump,thump,thump"
Besides attended Miss Li's class, we still attended the head master's class.
Mr Bao did really good job in many ways, students get both fun and knowledge from his class.
After attending his class, I become a fan of him.
Jane, Rachael and I gave a lesson to students at afternoon that day.
In fact, it is more like playing.
After the class, I realise that I didn't control the timing well.
I need to declare the rule in the front of the class instead of just telling to the student who is playing.
I will improve all my weakness during the process of my teaching career.
Even it is tired, I think I get benefits from it.
